Luca。 That man。 He was possessive and over the top in all the best ways。 He is the son of Lucian and Elena from Cruel Saints and now head of the Italian mafia。 Mariya is a mafia princess but also a badass in her own right。 Her father is Alexi from Tears of Salvation and has protected her but also trained her to be able to fight。 Mariya has also had a crush on Luca and thought he was cold and distant because he wanted nothing to do with her。 Luca has been biding his time because while he knew an Luca。 That man。 He was possessive and over the top in all the best ways。 He is the son of Lucian and Elena from Cruel Saints and now head of the Italian mafia。 Mariya is a mafia princess but also a badass in her own right。 Her father is Alexi from Tears of Salvation and has protected her but also trained her to be able to fight。 Mariya has also had a crush on Luca and thought he was cold and distant because he wanted nothing to do with her。 Luca has been biding his time because while he knew an arranged marriage between the two families would be beneficial， but he wanted Mariya to make the choice herself。 So what happens when they go to Vegas， she gets super drunk and suggests that her and Luca get married？ He jumps at the opportunity to marry her， knowing full well that their parents will want them to stay married for a time period as to not embarrass the families。 This might have been my favorite of the series so far。 I loved their connection， even when Mariya was so sure he hated her， Luca reassured her that she， and their marriage， was everything he wanted。 Their chemistry was so good and their attraction？ Hot。 I loved that there was no third act breakup。 The last half of the book does get a bit dark， so definitely check tw/cw！ Mariya was definitely pushed to her breaking point and Luca was there for her every step of the way。 。。。more

* thank you to Candi Kane PR and the author for giving me an arc of this book。 *6/5 stars。Y’all I loved this book ， like LOVE this book。 This one hit everything I want out of a mafia romance。 Granted it wasn’t 100% perfect but it was pretty close to me。The first 5 chapters or so I was a bit worried cause in chapter one I already know two things which usually are not great for me in books。 One: she’s a daddy girl ， meaning she’s spoiled and gets everything she wants and two: she’s pinning for Luc * thank you to Candi Kane PR and the author for giving me an arc of this book。 *6/5 stars。Y’all I loved this book ， like LOVE this book。 This one hit everything I want out of a mafia romance。 Granted it wasn’t 100% perfect but it was pretty close to me。The first 5 chapters or so I was a bit worried cause in chapter one I already know two things which usually are not great for me in books。 One: she’s a daddy girl ， meaning she’s spoiled and gets everything she wants and two: she’s pinning for Luca。 So those two combined made me cringe right on page one but don’t let that fool you。 I kept reading and two things became clear。 One: Luca was also pinning for her for a long time which lifted my spirits a bit about their whole thing and two: she was a daddy girl but she also trains with her father， she knows how to fight and mostly important she knows the world she was born into。I can honestly say that the only thing I didn’t particularly liked in this book was only the fact that she was really a daddy’s girl but that didn’t distracted me from the story or anything of the sort。 And it’s not that her being that way is a bad thing per say by any means cause I think it’s girl if you think so highly of one of your parents like she does but it’s just not my thing。Besides that， I loved every other aspect of Mariya。 She’s so my type of heroine。 She’s a bit bossy and fierce。 She knows herself and what her value is and I appreciated that。 Shes cold when she needs to be but also vulnerable when she feels safe and loved。 She’s cocky and has a dirty mouth on her （ the sexy kind）， I loved this aspect about her cause usually it’s the hero that dirty talks but not with this one。 Loved it。Seeing her in action despite her circumstances gave me life， I was living for it。 I so love when a h safes herself or tries to before anyone comes to help。Luca conquered me from the start， he has a heart of gold and he’s also ruthless but he don’t see that side of him with Mariya， we only see his devotion and love for her but once he’s out there on business he becomes the head of the family and I loved that contrast。 He’s so swoony and sweet。I loved their relationship and it actually felt like a long time coming。After they got over their misunderstanding， their relationship devolved into so much more。 I loved:The way they connected emotionally during and out of sexy times was beautiful。The fact she needed emotional connection to orgasm and he just insisted on trying cause he knew she wasn’t broken。The way she kept trying to save herself instead of waiting for help and praying that they wouldn’t do anything to her。 She just remember her training and fought with everything she had and got free。 I was very impressed with her。 She’s amazing！The care taking in this book melted me so much， I loved the way he took care of her both physically and emotionally。The way they fight their enemies together without him shutting the idea down for good。I appreciated the fact that she is very direct in everything including the sexy times and tells him what she’s thinking 🫦🥵🫠🫠🫠🫠Now this is my favorite so far in the series but Owned by a Sinner is my second for sure。Again I loved this book and I’m excited for the next one， looks like Victor has a hellcat on his hands 👀 。。。more

"i’ll follow you to the highest heaven and the deepest hell。 i’ll fight all the gods and all the demons who might stand in our way， i’ll burn down this earth and give you the universe。"this was my most anticipated book out of the series ever since i read the love story of maryia's parents。 was this couple as good as alexei x isabella？ there's no comparison， but i must admit i preferred the way the "no memory" trope was done this time around; unlike what happened in the first generation， this "i’ll follow you to the highest heaven and the deepest hell。 i’ll fight all the gods and all the demons who might stand in our way， i’ll burn down this earth and give you the universe。"this was my most anticipated book out of the series ever since i read the love story of maryia's parents。 was this couple as good as alexei x isabella？ there's no comparison， but i must admit i preferred the way the "no memory" trope was done this time around; unlike what happened in the first generation， this time around the foundation of their love was already there so the deception didn't taint their beginning。 after the 50% mark i spent mostly the rest of the book sobbing。 witnessing alexei， the one who has saved every "little one" in the series， being unable to protect his baby girl just reinforced my perspective of him as klaus mikaelson。 but she is the daughter of the princess of terror and the carbon copy of her father through and through; kicking ass and refusing to die - that scene with the priesthood's mafiosos watching the footage of her kidnapping and praising her combat skills was so precious。 and viktor stole the show， he's finally next。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 My previous reading experiences with this author were good so I was excited to read Chosen by a Sinner。 Moreover， the two main characters are the children of characters seen in St。 Monarch's Academy， a series I enjoyed reading。 This book is a standalone in a series but I wished we had more world building （I guess reading the other books in the series helps with that）。 However， the story was fast paced， entertaining， action-packed and cute。 Sometimes it was a bit too cheesy for me （I'm into darke My previous reading experiences with this author were good so I was excited to read Chosen by a Sinner。 Moreover， the two main characters are the children of characters seen in St。 Monarch's Academy， a series I enjoyed reading。 This book is a standalone in a series but I wished we had more world building （I guess reading the other books in the series helps with that）。 However， the story was fast paced， entertaining， action-packed and cute。 Sometimes it was a bit too cheesy for me （I'm into darker romances）。 I wouldn't have mind reading 50 more pages or so， it would have made for a tiny more forced proximity and/or bonding between the two main characters before things got messy。 Bonus points for the playlist and family trees， I really like having those。 。。。more
